Laser Etching
Laser etching offers the next generation of tone on tone decoration. The decoration is produced as a concentrated beam of high energy light travels a predetermined course to etch or gently shave away the surface area of the item being etched. Using the same cutting edge technology used in medical laser applications, designs with very fine detail can be produced on a broad spectrum of items: from the bulkiest fabrics such as polar fleece to hard surfaces like marble and steel. The “state of the art” lasers are extremely precise and can create shapes and patterns as small as one-eighth inch square and text as small as eight point type.
Although apparel is what we primarily offer, we can use the laser on a wide variety of products because we can control the intensity of the laser. For example: leather (including shoes), wooden bar taps/menu holders, picture frames, clothing hangers, glass, granite and much, much more! With this unique process there’s literally no limitations as to where the decoration can be placed on the garment or item being decorated. How is that possible? With most traditional methods, as well as with other decorators that offer laser etching, the process involves hooping of the garment. We have eliminated the need for hooping in our process and thereby have no limitations; across zippers, over pockets, seams, collars, all while maintaining the integrity and functionality of the garment.
